My name is Jason Gunther. I am a 23 year old College Grad from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, a very well known IT school I may add. Within 3 months of graduation I got a phone call for a job opportunity in Northern Virginia at one of the largest IT firms in the world. When they told me how much I would be making I about dropped the phone with excitement. I thought my life just could not get any better. I was wrong. In Northern VA a condo, yes a condo...costs $500,000. You don't even want to know what a single family house costs, yet alone renting a place to live. I immediately realized that all the money I was making was nothing. On top of it all I drive a Viper that gets 9 MPG and gas prices just rose to $4 a gallon. I am not even making enough money to pay my bills now. So what am I suppose to do? Sell my viper you say? That may work, but what is the fun in that? Why not take the thing that I have worked my entire life for, and put it up to be destroyed for your viewing pleasure? My dream is to one day open a bar. To do that, it's not going to happen living paycheck to paycheck. I'm taking risk launching this site, in order to get startup funds in order to open up my bar idea. My friend bought it and is allowing me to use it to help promote the site because he believes so much in smashmyviper.com and he wants to see me and the site successful. The Viper is registered and insured in my name and once smashmyviper.com is done with I will sell the car and repay him (with interest of course). Plus I told him I would hook him up if I make a million dollars, so he was the one who offered the other viper :-)

Yes, I bought it on my own. My parents/family did not pay for anything. Daddy didn't give it to me. I worked hard and saved my money in order to buy my dream car.

My main goal in life is to run my own business. Me and my roommate have a great idea for a bar, but it's going to cost a ton of money in order to start something like that. On top of that it didn't really give an opportunity to promote the advertisers that were paying him money aside from the one ad that they would receive.

It makes people want to come back to the site to see what else is going on with the Viper damage as well as to see how much more money we've made. Since we let the advertisers decide on the kind of damage that gets done, people are interested in seeing what these advertisers have come up with as an idea. Not only does this bring people back to the site and creating a viral idea that spreads around, but it allows advertisers to have people associate with their brand.

For example PongAlong.com, a company that makes and sell beer pong tables, sent us one of their tables and paid for an advertisement and damage to the Viper. Not only did they receive on ad on our grid and a feature in our video, but we also used product placement in the video allowing viewers to see their product in use.

Another company, Eco-Strip.com, which makes environmentally paint removal tools, sent us a paint scraper. Rather than keying the car with a key, we used their paint scraper in a video.

Things like this are pushing advertisers products right in the face of people, in the midst of great content. This is something Million Dollar Homepage could never offer. We have dedicated viewers that come back for more, which also continues the association with future advertisers and allows for branding opportunities.
